The number of families who could barely afford a living in our country is countless. Their children in spite of having the urge to study are not getting a chance even to think of further education when their families struggle to meet their ends.
In 2003, a group of closely-knit friends, hailing from various parts of Tamilnadu and working in Chennai, decided to reach out to help students of this segment continue their education. The group distributed dictionaries to the Tenth Standard passed students of a government school in Pudukkottai district as a token of motivation to pursue higher education. Since then, the friends’ circle and the recipients of assistance keep growing.
In 2008, the group felt that greater service could be rendered to the deserving students, if a Trust was formed. The thought led to the birth of VIZHUTHUHAL, a registered charitable trust with the motto ‘Serving the Deserving.’ VIZHUTHUHAL is functioning from Chennai.
